Ram Kandasamy - Writer/Founder/CEO of Shreeya’s Entertainment LLC, Dallas, TX
Bio
Ram Kandaswamy is a genre feature writer and actor based in Dallas, Texas. Raised on Indian cinema that seamlessly braids action, mystery, humor, and drama, he brings a grounded, propulsive sensibility to genre storytelling.
He writes to explore big themes through entertainment. His work returns to one central question: when the story ends, what should the audience feel about belief, war, freedom, or grief?
He sharpened his craft through professional script coverage and development feedback, gaining a practical understanding of market-ready features, producible pages, and the demands of visual storytelling.
Across genres and worlds, he uses social, political, and technological systems as story engines—pressures that force characters to make consequential choices while keeping the narrative clear, propulsive, and cinematic.
His feature screenplay The Revenge was a Quarterfinalist at the 2025 Richmond International Film Festival and a Semifinalist at the 2025 Rhode Island International Film Festival. His feature screenplay Boston was named Austin Film Festival's Second Rounder in 2026. His television pilot Meridian Junction was named a Finalist at the 2026 Oxford Script Awards. A short-story version of his screenplay Boston was a Quarterfinalist in the 2026 Everard Entertainment + Roadmap Writers Short Story Competition.
